Lutheran Home of the Good Shepherd
Bruce Gedrose has been on a Board Member for over 11 years. He started before the big remodel process, which he feels has been great for the facility. “The neighborhood concept was new and I’m glad we went that way…LHGS has always looked toward the future.” After the big building project was complete, he spoke about the Basic Care remodel, and Angel Road moving to a new wing. Bruce said, “LHGS is very dear to me, and I’ve had family here.”
Bruce said he’s seen a lot of Board member changes throughout his years at LHGS. He said, “We have a good Board of Directors, and we have new members with great ideas”.
Bruce said he appreciates all the employees – “They are what makes the nursing home what it is…all the kindness that is shown to the residents….it is a great facility, and so important to New Rockford and the surrounding community.” He said “We will continue with the great mission we have…we employ many from the surrounding area.”
Bruce said, “I look to the future – I feel LHGS is well established and will be here for many years.” He added, “As we move forward we need to find ways to combat that budget shortfall we’ve had to endure”.
Bruce and his wife Donna have lived in New Rockford their whole lives, raised three children and now have 7 grandchildren they enjoy spending time with.
