Dennis Swanson has been the representative from Kvernes Church on LHGS Board for four years. Dennis mentioned he was here for the original ground breaking ceremony, adding “I’ve had many relatives who have been here and have a long interest in LHGS….I feels it is now my turn to step up and help.”
Dennis said he has walked through the halls of LHGS and he talks with employees. He said “staff do an amazing job…and we don’t say it enough”. He said he is very open to hearing from staff “I want to avail myself to employees here, and I’m open to addressing things with, and for staff.” Dennis said, “Board of Directors need to listen to employees – as they are the lifeblood of an organization”. He said, “as a board, we have to hear from both sides”. Dennis stated, “I appreciate hearing from staff, both positive and negative and we will do the best job we can”. He added he can be reached at 653-5755 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Dennis has a rich history with LHGS and said it’s a very rewarding responsibility to be a part of LHGS…one he states he doesn’t take lightly. He stated, “it’s easy to be on a Board of Directors but in order to be effective we need to listen to people and attempt to make things better….it’s a job I take very seriously”. He said a frustration of being on the Board is that their hands are tied because of funding and budget cuts, and mentioned the budget shortfalls this year. Dennis added, “being on the Board of Directors is a challenge…we have a mission with a lot of history…to do a lot of good, for a lot of people – and I want to see LHGS prosper and keep going.”
